The development of HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces) is a fascinating task. An important part of this is the interaction with project managers, CEOs, CTOs, developers and sales. Added to this is the complexity and the perceived “softness” of the topic. HMI developers are often overwhelmed in this constellation. In this episode I outline the 3P principle that can be used to successfully overcome these challenges.

Artificial intelligence is omnipresent. It is an integral part of many applications that we use every day: search engines, online shops, social media. The danger of singularity, i.e. the displacement of humans by ever more intelligent machines, is discussed again and again. If the use of AI is always displayed in HMIs, users can decide for themselves how to deal with the information and decisions of the AI. As part of the KARLI project, I analyzed how AI can be represented in automotive HMIs.

About this podcast

It's about the relationship between humans and technology, about the design of technology. It's about how we can get our lives back by dropping technology addiction. Technology has two big problems: it's difficult to access and it's addicting. I want to make my listeners' lives better by opening their eyes to the design and use of technology. My goal is to change the way you look at the world and make it a better place.
